Shop Small Alma 2025 is our community’s day to celebrate all things small business. The fourth annual event promises to be full of hand-crafted items, memories, and fun for everyone. Shop Small Alma started in 2022 with the hope of bringing people to our community to support the small business owners in our town. Since that time, it has grown to be the kick off of our holiday season.

The day starts bright and early with a breakfast fundraiser put on by the Happy Valley 4-H club. Breakfast is available to anyone looking for a delicious burrito, cinnamon roll, or just a cup of coffee. At 9:00 am the Holiday Hustle participants embark on a 5K walk-run around town followed by the kids mini-mile and fun run at 9:45 am.

The Christmas Market opens at 10:00 am and runs until 1:00 pm. The market makes an effort to highlight local makers and their crafts. Christmas Market vendors are located in several shops and buildings up and down main street making it a day full of shopping. Vendors and shoppers are welcome into the Pacheco Beef Shop, Mel’s Gathering Spot, the Legion, Brandt House, the Wabaunsee County Historical Society & Museum, Alma Bakery & Sweet Shoppe. Additionally, the Wabaunsee County Historical Society & Museum sponsors a kids craft. Just up the street in the Fire Station you can find Santa waiting to visit with the children. Santa is sponsored by the Alma Area Chamber. They also bring live music to town for caroling.

Returning to the event will be the second Gingerbread contest, we cannot wait to see the creations this year! New to Shop Small Alma for 2025 will be horse drawn carriage rides. The planning committee is thrilled to bring this additional attraction to the day and is thankful for the sponsors supporting the rides.

Shop Small Alma 2025 is sure to add heartfelt memories to your family’s holiday tradition. We look forward to seeing you at Shop Small Alma on Saturday, November 29! Looking to make a weekend of it? Book your stay at Brandt House today!t here
